We will be participating in Life in Limbo, lead by the creator of the simulation himself, David White. He is the CEO and founder of Fostering Great Ideas in Greenville, SC. This is how he describes Life in Limbo: Life in Limbo is experiential learning at its best, as you step into the shoes of a child entering foster care, a parent whose children are removed, or a caregiver, trying to bring stability. Chaos moves to compassion and to great ideas that improve the state of foster care for all children. Join us for a memorable and deeply interactive experience.
The 2024 Foster Care Symposium will be a time of collaboration between social workers, local officials, foster parents, and GAL volunteers. There will be an immersive simulation that helps shed a light on many sides of this foster care puzzle. The Symposium is a great time to get to know those in a different position as you, and hear them and see them as individuals who want to do their very best for the kids we are all working tirelessly to serve.
